Jack Ross admitted he and his Hibs stars will return to Hampden still hurting. The Easter Road club saw off Dundee United 3-1 to book their place in the last four of the Premier Sports Cup.
Hibs lost last season’s Scottish Cup Final to St Johnstone and their League Cup semi-final to the Saints. Ross now knows Rangers stand between themselves and another possible final.
He said: “Rangers won three of the games last season but I thought we were highly competitive. It’s about taking that next step.
We obviously have the league game before it which will be a good barometer to see where we’re at as well. It will give us some indication of how we plan for that game.
