Jack Ross has told Hibs that their new director of football's ability to work with a head coach and 'mentor by guidance and support' is the key to success.
The 46-year-old is out of football management at present after an ill-fated stint at Dundee United at the beginning of this season.
He took his Hibs to a third place finish plus a League Cup and Scottish Cup final during his time in charge of the Easter Road club, who have announced plans to bring in a DOF to support current boss Lee Johnson.
It's been a turbulent 18 months in Leith and they find themselves in the Premiership's bottom six, with recruitment in that time lamented.
