Jack Quaid stars in Companion and is opening up about his experience filming the Drew Hancock-written and directed thriller.
The actor said in a recent interview that a stunt in the movie gave him the “heebie-jeebies,” and he had to have a stunt double help him with the scene. “There was this one stunt that is small in the grand history of things I’ve done on screen, but I don’t know why; it just gave me the heebie-jeebies,” Quaid told Entertainment Weekly.
Quaid continued, “She closes a car door on my hand, and it was the one stunt where I was like, ‘I don’t know… It was perfectly safe — they had a stopper there in case anything went wrong.
But it was the one time I was like, ‘Can we please just have a stunt double do it?'” Companion follows Quaid’s Josh and girlfriend Iris, played by Sophie Thatcher, as they go on a weekend getaway to a remote cabin, and she finds out that she is a robot programmed by her boyfriend.
