Jaap Stam has urged Matthijs de Ligt to stay at Juventus amid reports linking him with a move to Manchester United. The 20-year-old Dutch defender only moved to Turin last summer but is already linked with a possible exit at the end of the season after a turbulent first year in Italy.
De Ligt has failed to live up to expectations following his £67.5m transfer from Ajax but former United defender Stam believes he still needs time to settle into his new life.
