Lorraine Kelly has revealed a number of losses she quietly suffered in 2024 while also experiencing the 'most amazing thing' to happen to her in her family in the same year.

The brodcaster, who is known for fronting her own self-titled show on ITV, became a first-time grandmother in 2024 after her daughter, Rosie, who she shares with husban Steve Smith, gave birth to her first child.

Rosie, 29, gave birth to her and her fiance's Steve's first child, daughter Billie, on August 29. She announced the news of the baby girl's arrival and at the time, Lorraine shared her excitement in the comments as she gushed over the wonderful family news on social media: "I have been BURSTING to share this wonderful news with you! "Baby Billie is an angel and I'm so proud of @rosiekellysmith and @stevewhite94 who will be the best parents.

I'm delighted to be Granny Smith and can't wait to go on adventures." Lorraine has continued to share updates on being 'Granny Smith' both on her ITV show and on social media and it was little Billie her took pride of place in Lorraine's reflection on the past year as 2025 got underway.
