Actor Tom Cruise, comedian Omid Djalili, singer Katherine Jenkins and Dame Helen Mirren were among the guests at an historic event to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebration at Windsor Castle.
Hosted by Phillip Schofield and Julie Etchingham, ITV's live broadcast of the one-off Royal event gave viewers an insight into the performances and behind the scenes action at the Royal residence.
Cruise was mobbed as he walked through Windsor to the castle today. He was invited to the event to introduce the Kings Troop Royal Artillery and told the ITV presenters how honoured he was to be there. She has tremendous dignity and what she has accomplished is historic. I just have great respect for her. I really love the tradition.
