ITV Love Island slapped with more than 700 official complaints in a matter of weeks

Love Island has been racking up the official complaints since it returned to screens last month. The ITV2 dating show has been back, dishing out drama, dumpings and bombshells, for the past four weeks and there's still plenty more to go.

Viewers have been following every twist and turn with all eyes currently on the carnage set to be caused by Casa Amor. During the latest trip to the Mallorcan villa and its second property on Monday night (July 4) relationships are heating up in the Love Island villa as new bombshell Coco Lodge kissed both Davide Sanclimenti and Andrew Le Page.

The latest episode saw the Casa Amor split continue to test the couples as islanders in both villas explored new connections with many sharing their first kisses and the Raunchy Race challenge also provided an opportunity for the new arrivals to make their moves as well as igniting the competitive spirit between the two villas. The Daily Star has revealed that Love Island has been hit by over 700 complaints since it returned to screens. An Ofcom spokesperson confirmed to the publication that 781 official complaints had been made by fans so far during the 2022 series, relating to a number of different events and topics including bullying and some stars given more screen time than others.
