ITV Emmerdale fans stunned as David Metcalfe returns with completely new look and famous lookalikes

Emmerdale fans were left surprised as David Metcalfe and Victoria Sugden finally returned to the village. The new couple haven't been seen since last year after they both nearly died in the Survival Day horror and since Victoria was almost killed by Meena Jutla.

Since they've been away it has been revealed to the villagers that David's ex Meena is a serial killer as was responsible for the deaths of Leanna Cavanagh, Andrea Tate, and Ben Tucker before holding Manpreet Sharma and Vinny Dingle hostage.

At the beginning of Friday night's episode, David gave son Jacob a fright when he surprised him by being back in the shop. "Why didn't you say you were coming back," Jacob shouted, clearly on edge due to recent events. "Sorry we've been away so long, thought Theo's ear infection was never gonna clear up," David told him, seemingly explaining his prolonged absence.

But all the while, Emmerdale fans were too busy looking at David's completely new look. And it's really divided them. @unsworth1live tweeted: "#Emmerdale what the hell has happened to David’s hair.
