Emmerdale fans were sat patiently as the ITV soap teased that villain Anthony would finally get his just deserts. Viewers begged the show to "make him suffer" after it was revealed he had historically abused his daughter Ruby when she was a teenager.
Anthony entered the village in 2024 with Steph as he announced to Ruby that he would be staying in the village. In recent flashbacks, Emmerdale told the harrowing tale of the sexual abuse that Anthony subjected a young Ruby too, particularly on the night of her 16th birthday.
In recent episodes Ruby took Chas' advice and ordered a DNA test to find out who Steph's father really is - Anthony or Caleb.
However, after she decided she didn't want to read the results it was too late as Caleb had already found the letter. He informed Ruby that there was zero chance of him being Steph's biological father.
