ITV Dancing On Ice star says 'end of an era' as they leave show after 12 years

Following the finale of Dancing on Ice's 17th series, professional skater Mark Hanretty has announced he's leaving the star-studded competition.

After featuring in 12 series of the ITV show, the 39-year-old confirmed to fans that his departure marks the "end of an era".

This announcement came after Mark and his celebrity partner, Springwatch star Michaela Strachan, finished in second place, losing out to Coronation Street star Sam Aston and his partner Molly Lanaghan.

On Thursday (March 13), Mark shared a video of him and Michaela being interviewed by host Holly Willoughby after they ended the competition as runner-ups.
