ITV Dancing On Ice's most popular season revealed as show's future hangs in balance

Dancing On Ice's most successful season to date has been revealed in a new study.The ITV show is currently in the midst of its 17th season but there is one season in particular that seemingly stood out for viewers.Dancing on Ice odds makers LeoVegas used Google Keywords Planner to analyse the average number of monthly searches for the term 'Dancing on Ice' between 2006 and 2025.Their findings revealed that season 11 was the most popular among fans with a search volume of 674,715 in January 2019 when the season first aired, significantly surpassing the popularity of any other year since the show first aired almost 20 years ago.Season 11 performed exceptionally well among fans for several reasons, one of which was the show's four-year hiatus from 2014 to 2018 prior to its return.

The 2019 show marked the second season since the revival of Dancing on Ice with the contestant line up featuring a diverse mix of well-known celebrities from various fields.

Notable stars included former Strictly professional, James Jordan, TOWIE icon Gemma Collins and Westlife singer Brian McFadden.Gemma Collins was a standout figure on season 11 of the ITV show, paired with Matt Evans.

Despite scoring 16/40 in week one and placing fourth, she topped the public vote with 28.23%.
