The actress has played Kelly Neelan in Coronation Street for three years but will bow out of the ITV soap in dramatic scenes set to air during a special 'Super Soap Week' this month.
Her exit from the soap was rumoured last month and was eventually confirmed by the soap's boss Iain MacLeod when he spoke to the Manchester Evening News and other press about what is to come this September, and autumn, in Weatherfield.
And because Millie has made the decision to leave, Corrie hasn't held back on her exit. "We thought the fact that Millie is going and therefore Kelly’s going allows us to go really big and do something incredibly high stakes and to get these characters to stand on these landmines with buried for them over the years and will go off in one cataclysmic explosion,” Iain revealed to us. You sort of see her starting to turn into Rick Neelan in that sense and it’s a completely new personality for her. It’s really bad."
