While Helen's last episode wasn't exactly smooth sailing, thanks to her serial killer husband Richard Hillman returning from the dead to ward her off marrying Jesse, the actress shared how her on-screen family's tears "were real" as viewers saw Gail drive off into the distance.
The Christmas Day episode marked half a century for Helen Worth playing the role, and as an extra treat she sat down to wish fans a final goodbye.
