Nothing gets past soap fans and eagle-eyed Coronation Street viewers think they've spotted a subtle yet poignant tribute in latest scenes.
Kicking off Monday's hour-long trip to Weatherfield, and the first visit of the week to our favourite street, viewers of the ITV soap joined Amy Barlow as she sat down to do a bit of negotiation in the cafe with her granddad, Ken.
The teenager was seeking to get the inheritance her grandma - Ken's wife, Deidre - had left for her in order to fund her education at university after cutting ties with her mum and dad.
Amy, played by Elle Mulvaney, was left furious last week when Steve McDonald and Tracy Barlow didn't believe her. She had told them that new boyfriend Jacob Hay had been sticking up for her when he punched her cousin, Simon Barlow.
