And the sweet reunion also left loyal viewers of the long-running show make a demand. Kevin Kennedy and Angela Lonsdale were seen back together as she headed to support him in his new role, two decades after they shared the screen together in Corrie.
Fans were remember the pair for playing Emma Taylor and Curly Watts. Police sergeant Emma, who arrived on the cobbles back in 2000, was the second wife of Curly, who actually starred in the soap from 1983.
They met when she arrived to investigate crimes in the area and they married on Christmas Eve 2000 before Emma gave birth to their son Ben on Boxing Day 2001.
