Today (July 20) marks Eid al-Adha, one of the major religious festivals observed in Islam. Following Eid al-Fitr, which took place in May to mark the breaking of the fast, Eid al-Adha coincides with Hajj - an annual pilgrimage to Mecca. Usually, more than 2.5 million people would take the Saudi Arabian pilgrimage but, due to the pandemic, only around 60,000 will take it this year.
