Closed since March, the opportunity to throw open their doors to local customers again would, in theory, be something to celebrate, bringing in much-needed foot traffic to boost the online sales they’ve managed to keep up during the pandemic - or giving an outright lifeline to those tiny operations whose websites were not equipped, and who have been closed up completely.There is one thing that might hinder them though; the two metre rule.
