E4's fresh reality gem It's A Scouse Life premiered on November 12, offering viewers a glimpse into the lives of a glamorous and business-savvy set of Merseysiders.The official blurb bills it as a "reality show following the glamorous lives of a group of young metropolitan Merseysiders as they work hard and play hard in one of Europe's liveliest cities: Liverpool," with nine central cast members at its heart.
Anthony Jacobs, one of the nine at the core of It's A Scouse Life, has now opened up about his fears surrounding the show which nearly stopped him from taking part.
Speaking to Reach Plc's Screen Time, the star shared his initial reservations about joining the show, due to fears it would negatively stereotype his beloved Liverpool.
Despite also being bombarded with offers from other shows like Love Island, Big Brother and Celebs Go Dating, producers eventually won him round, reports the Liverpool Echo. "I wasn't single anymore so Love Island was off the cards and Celebs Go Dating was off the cards.
