A woman who had repeatedly visited her GP after living in constant pain over the course of six years was diagnosed with incurable cancer.

Jess Woods first complained of abdominal pain, bladder and bowel problem back in 2017. The pain was so bad, she ended up in A&E on multiple occasions.

Doctors suspected the 28-year-old was suffering from gallstones, while her mum Paula, believed she could be suffering from polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

But it was only when she went under the knife for a complete gall bladder removal at Royal Liverpool Hospital in February that surgeons discovered the true cause of her constant pain: grade 3 ovarian cancer, reports the ECHO.
