Lewis Capaldi (born 7 October 1996) is a Scottish singer-songwriter. He was nominated for the Critics' Choice Award at the 2019 Brit Awards. In March 2019, his single "Someone You Loved" topped the UK Singles Chart where it remained for seven weeks, and in October 2019 it reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100. On 17 May 2019 he released his debut album, Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, which remained at the top of the UK Albums Chart for six weeks.

Isle of Wight Festival cancelled for entire year as coronavirus takes hold

The Isle of Wight Festival has announced it is cancelled this year amid the coronavirus pandemic. Just as Glastonbury earlier this month, festival bosses have decided it's too risky to continue planning this summer's event for fears COVID-19 will still be spreading.

The event was due to take place between June 11 and 14, with a line-up boasting Lewis Capaldi, Natasha Bedingfield, Lionel Richie, Primal Scream, Snow Patrol, Chemical Brothers, Kaiser Chiefs, Example, Duran Duran, Black Eyed Peas and Razorlight among other big names. "The Isle of Wight Festival will no longer be taking place this year," they said in a statement. "This decision has not been taken lightly and we have tried out hardest to make it work, but it was unavoidable
