Simon Cowell could be set to marry his partner Lauren Silverman in a 'small and intimate' ceremony at Cliveden House in Berkshire - the home of the Profumo affair.
A source told MailOnline that the music mogul, 62, is thought to be having the nuptials at the Grade I stately home for his upcoming nuptials to the beauty, 44, after they got engaged last Christmas.
Although the couple are not short of Hollywood pals and have the funds to throw an over-the-top soiree, Lauren has told friends that she has no desire to throw an outlandish party with loads on guests and Simon's fellow BGT judge David Walliams told on Thursday that even he hasn't been invited yet.
It was at Cliveden House that former war minister Jack Profumo began his relationship with 19-year-old Christine Keeler in July 1961, which led to one of the greatest political scandals of the 20th century - the Profumo affair.
