Public transport across Manchester was under the limelight this weekend after a heaving Saturday night of big gigs and Parklife Festival saw many attending struggle to make their way home.

Issues getting home weren't help by rocketing taxi prices as surge charges came in, with one person branding the post-event rush as 'disgusting, zero organisation'.

The weekend also saw news emerge that school buses for students with special needs had been suspended with operators cancelling their Manchester council contracts due to rising costs.
