Martin Ferry has departed Irvine Meadow after just 11 games. The boss picked up just one league win with the Meadow Park side against fellow strugglers Glenafton.Ferry oversaw exits in the South Challenge Cup and Junior Cup against Cumbernauld Colts and Johnstone Burgh respectively.
And defeats to Gartcairn, Benburb and Clydebank, Auchinleck along with a draw at home to Cumnock leaves the North Ayrshire side rooted to the bottom of the WoSL Premier Division.
A club statement read: "Irvine Meadow XI FC announces the departure of Martin Ferry and Des Roach from their roles as first team manager and assistant manager, effective immediately."Martin's departure is due to unforeseen circumstances and Des, citing time constraints with his son's national-level sports commitment, has decided to stop down as well."Both express gratitude to the fans and wish the players and the club success in the future."Ben Carson has been appointed as first team boss ahead of tomorrow's clash with Troon.
