Irvine Meadow co-boss says league doubles are key as side sink Cumnock for a second time

Colin Spence set his sights on chalking up more league doubles after his Irvine Meadow side put Cumnock to the sword for the second time this season.Saturday's 3-1 home victory followed up a 2-0 win at Townhead Park back in August to give Meadow a full complement of six West of Scotland League Premier Division points against their Ayrshire rivals.And having already done the double over Rutherglen Glencairn in their previous league outing, co-boss Spence is keen to complete more home and away scalps between now and the end of the campaign.They'll have a chance to add to their tally this weekend when they take on Cumbernauld at Guy's Meadow - hoping for a repeat of the 2-0 victory they enjoyed in the reverse fixture.And Spence said: "It’s important to tick teams off like that."That's two on the bounce now in the league.
