Singer and actress Rose-Marie has passed away aged 68.The Irish star's 'sudden' death was announced in a post shared to Facebook on 7 June, confirming she passed away in Blackpool. “It is with heavy hearts & enormous great sadness, that we have to announce the sudden passing of our much loved Rose-Marie, in her beloved second home of Blackpool.
Rest in Peace, dear heart," the post, shared to Rose-Marie's Facebook page, read. The singer's close pals have paid tribute to her, including radio presenter Robin Elliott, who sadly revealed he had plans to meet up with Rose-Marie in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile actress Tricia Penrose said she is "heartbroken" by the news. Tricia, best known for playing Gina Ward in ITV's Heartbeat, said: "I am absolutely heartbroken to lose my dear friend Rose-Marie RIP my dear heart," she shared. "We were only together this time last week in Blackpool.
I'm going to miss you so much xxx." Robin claimed Rose-Marie had been in the process of recording her 20th album, and he had been planning to travel to Blackpool on 28 June to do a celebrity audience with her on the North Pier.
