Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna lauded Manchester United loanee Brandon Williams for his performance at the weekend, but he also stated the defender has the potential to improve with the best years of his career ahead of him.
Erik ten Hag made it clear Williams was surplus to requirements at United and he joined Ipswich on a season-long loan in August thanks to his pre-existing relationship with McKenna from his time at Old Trafford.
McKenna, whose playing career was unfortunately cut short age just 22 due to injury, has always been highly regarded in the coaching sphere and he joined United from Tottenham in 2016 to take charge of the Under-18s. McKenna followed Solskjaer out the door when the Norwegian was sacked and he took his first job in management with Ipswich. He won promotion to the Championship last season and his side are now in second position in the division.
