Interpol have revealed which songs by The Killers they would like to cover on stage one day.The New York band were asked the question by a fan in a recent interview in The Guardian, which referred to the fact that The Killers had once covered them during a gig.Frontman Paul Banks responded that the song he would choose is ‘Somebody Told Me’. “The Killers are all great players and for me Brandon Flowers is like Rihanna or Katy Perry: a pretty pop voice, but there’s grain in there, there’s soul.”In contrast, guitarist Daniel Kessler chose the Las Vegas band’s ‘Human’. “I really like the emotion and the lyric,” he said.Flowers and co played a version of ‘Obstacle 1’ from Interpol’s 2002 debut album ‘Turn On The Bright Lights’ at the 2016 Governors Ball in New York City, which you can watch below.Introducing the song that day, Flowers said: “You had the Strokes and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs,” he said. “But there was another band who were darker and more mysterious.
