Instagram, Facebook and Messenger down: Social media apps crash for users across UK

dailystar.co.ukFacebook, Instagram and Messenger have all crashed for users in the UK and Europe this morning.Down Detector shows issues with some of the world's most popular social media apps, beginning at about 9am on Thursday.While the problems are being experienced across the continent, Western Europe appears to be the worst afflicted by the outages.While the reason for the issue remains unclear, of those who reported problems with Facebook Messenger, 80 per cent said they weren't receiving messages, while 20 per cent couldn't log in.Meanwhile 45% of Instagram users have reported problems with loading the news feed, 29% are having issues with Stories and 24% are struggling with posting.
