Radio DJ Scott Mills first landed a gig on BBC Radio 1 back in 1998, where he presented the early breakfast show from 4am to 7am.

Since then, the 51 year old has risen through the ranks to host some of the biggest shows on the BBC. From the Official Chart on Radio 1 to taking the leap over to Radio 2 to replace the legendary late Steve Wright in the afternoons, Scott has now been confirmed as Zoe Ball's replacement on the breakfast show after she sensationally quit after six years on Tuesday, 19 November.

Zoe said she is “thrilled” that Scott will be taking over, following her departure in December. She said: “Scott and I go way back to our Radio 1 days, when he was doing early mornings before me.

He’s been a close friend for years, and I’m beyond thrilled it’s him taking over the Breakfast Show. Breakfast has always been his dream, and what a year he’s had – from racing around the world to his beautiful wedding to Sam.
