Harry was educated at Wetherby School, Ludgrove School, and Eton College. He spent parts of his gap year in Australia and Lesotho. He then underwent officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He was commissioned as a cornet (second lieutenant) into the Blues and Royals, serving temporarily with his brother Prince William, and he completed his training as a troop leader. In 2007–08, he served for over ten weeks in Helmand, Afghanistan, but was pulled out after an Australian magazine revealed his presence there. He returned to Afghanistan for a 20-week deployment in 2012–13 with the Army Air Corps. He left the army in June 2015.

Inside Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s ‘biblical moment’ on penultimate royal tour

When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited Australia, Tonga, New Zeleand and Fiji on an epic royal tour in 2018 a magical and surprising moment took place.

Royal photographer Zak Hussein recalled the memorable event that happened when they were in the Australia segment of the tour.The country had been experiencing a two-year drought, but the end of the shortcomings coincided with the royal arrival. "You had this prince and this duchess who landed in this small town, and suddenly it was like they brought on this rain, in this Biblical moment," he told People.The rain began to fall on the second day of their tour while Harry was giving a speech at Dubbo in New South Wales.

Meghan, who was pregnant with the couple's first child Archie at the time, sweetly protected her husband from the downfall by holding up an umbrella.

Harry told those who offered him an umbrella: “It's alright, I've got my wife”. He even addressed the downfall saying, "Despite welcome rain it's going to take a lot more and a long time to recover." Later Harry repaid the gesture for Meghan.
