On Wednesday Marcus Rashford announced that he got engaged to his childhood sweetheart Lucia Loi. The couple shared the happy news that took place a day earlier on Instagram in a sweet post showing them sharing a kiss surrounded by roses and candles.

Marcus, 24, simply captioned the picture: “24.05.22,” and added a heart before tagging his wife-to-be.The pair showed off their relaxed style in the snap as Marcus sported a white t shirt and beige trousers.

While Lucia, 24, stunned in jeans and a black crop top.The couple have been together for eight years and been in an on-off relationship in that time.

Their relationship went through its challenges in May 2021 the childhood sweethearts went their separate ways due to “pressures and strains of the Covid pandemic and lockdowns”.
