While still at school he became friends with Simon Minter, aka Miniminter, who he'd later collaborate with as part of a group of YouTubers called the Sidemen.
KSI got his start on YouTube streaming videos of himself playing FIFA in his bedroom at his parents house back in 2008. As his follower numbers grew, he started creating vlogs too and reached a million subscribers in 2012.
