The heartbreaking final moments of double Oscar-winning actor Gene Hackman have been revealed following his death, which occurred a week after the passing of his beloved wife, Betsy Arakawa.The 95-year-old star tragically passed away in the mud room of his Santa Fe mansion days after his wife's death in the bathroom due to a rat-borne virus.

On Friday, it was confirmed by police that Gene had died from cardiovascular disease around February 18, just days after his 65-year-old wife succumbed to Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome around February 11.
