Dillian Whyte drove 40 hours to Portugal for a week-long training camp - but is still there more than a month later. The heavyweight planned a short stay to help him prepare for his forthcoming fight against Alexander Povetkin.
But when London locked down and his fight was moved from May to July, Whyte opted to stay put. "I was only planning to do a week or so to start training before the fight," he told . "I drove because I had to take my dogs with me and I don't like putting them in transport. "It took me 40 hours because I had to stop to let them out every two hours but they travelled well, it was the longest journey they've done. "We drove to France, through Spain and all the way up.
