The Dancing On Ice final is much-awaited after the ITV show was dropped from the TV schedule last week to make room for the football.

Now, fans can rejoice as it's getting under way on Sunday 27 March, and Associate Creative Director Dan Whiston tells OK! it's going to be "a right humdinger." The show recently received backlash from some fans, who claimed the extra week was an "unfair advantage," but Dan said that just isn't the case. "I don't think it's an unfair advantage.

It's the circumstance that we've got, and we're all going to make the best of it obviously," Dan said. Taking part in the final will be Pussycat Doll Kimberly Walsh, Strictly professional Brendan Cole and Regan Gascoigne, who is the son of footballing legend Paul Gascoigne.

In Dan's column this week, he shares what we can expect from the final, as well as series highs and lows... No rest for the wicked The extra week has played into the show's hands because it gave everyone an extra week of training and an extra week of preparation before the final, so expect this one to be the biggest and best you've ever seen. There's been no rest for the wicked for me!
