A pre-inquest review has been held into the death of a two-month-old baby in Bolton. The family of Louella Sheridan are concerned 'red flags' were missed which led to the death of Louella on April 24 this year.

Louella died at the high dependency unit at the Royal Bolton Hospital having been born with a heart condition and undergoing surgery at Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool the previous month.

Between March 15 and April 22 she was at home under the care of community nurses based out of Bolton Hospital before being rushed to hospital when one of the nurses noticed she was unwell.

On the morning of April 24 her mother, Casey Quigley, discovered Louella unresponsive and raised the alarm but attempts to resuscitate the baby were unsuccessful.
