A coroner has halted an inquest into the death of a father who died of multiple injuries in a car crash - and ordered police to investigate suspicions it was caused by two cars racing and being driven dangerously.
Prof Alan Walsh adjourned the Bolton hearing into the passing of nightclub doorman and personal trainer Kelvin Baker. It came as his wife said: "I want to know what happened, and I don't want to hear 'I don't know' from the police." The 34-year-old died after his car hit a gate post at the disused Egerton House Hotel on Blackburn Road, Bolton on January 15, 2019, after travelling at speeds of up to 70mph.
