mirror.co.ukA social media star plunged to her death while reportedly recording herself on camera from a crane. Chinese influencer Xiao Qiumei, 23, worked as a crane operator and regularly shared videos of herself working to her thousands of followers.
But, witnesses claim that while filming her last video, she fell around 160 feet with her phone in her hand and was killed in the accident.
Xiao is the second woman in China to have died while allegedly recording herself on camera. Another social media star, Sofia Cheung, 32, from Hong Kong, tumbled to her death on July 10 while taking a selfie for her Instagram page beside a waterfall.
