Manchester City's summer earnings are set to rise close to £40m as defender Sergio Gomez edges closer to a permanent transfer to Real Sociedad.
Gomez arrived from Anderlecht as a winger in 2022 to provide cover at left-back, but struggled for regular games as City won the treble in his first season.
He fell further down the pecking order last season, featuring just six times in the league and amassing only 47 minutes across those appearances.
The 23-year-old City fan has now opted to seek a permanent exit, with a move to Sociedad closer to being completed amid a flurry of reports on Thursday night.
