Liverpool and Newcastle United are interested in signing Spain youth international Iker Bravo.Currently on loan at Real Madrid Castilla, the powerful centre forward impressed at last summer's UEFA Under-17 Championship and is expected to leave Bayer Leverkusen on a permanent transfer at the end of this season.
Although Madrid hold an option to buy Bravo, 18, from the Bundesliga club for €10million, they are seeking to negotiate that fee downwards, creating an opportunity for the two English Premier League sides to outbid them in the summer window.Liverpool, Newcastle and Olympique Marseille have all asked to be kept informed of the teenager's availability.
A product of Barcelona's academy system, Bravo joined Leverkusen under freedom of contract in 2021, becoming the Bundesliga's youngest ever footballer four months later.
His return of 11 goals in 14 Spain under-17 internationals, including two in three starts at the 2020 Euros in Israel, convinced Madrid to bring Bravo back to Spain amidst competition from several leading clubs.
