IKEA launch plant balls – a sustainable alternative to the iconic meatball

Now is it just us or is an IKEA trip not a trip until you’ve had the meatballs? Well exciting for vegans and vegetarians just in, they’re launching new plant balls - a more sustainable alternative to the iconic IKEA meatball.

The new plant balls will have the same look, taste and juicy bite of your classic meatball, but now with only 4% of the climate footprint.

These delicious new meatballs are priced at £1.50 for eight when you eat at one of the Bistros or pick up a bag to enjoy at home from the Swedish Food Market for £2.75 (500g bag).

These will be available from the 3rd August and available in IKEA restaurants from 26th October. To find your nearest IKEA, we've listed the store locator here.
