Two teenagers have been arrested after officers spotted an 'attempted drug deal outside a primary school' in Wigan. Police in the borough said the attempted deal took place 'in front' of a local school in the area.

Yesterday (May 1), officers from Scholes and Ince arrested two teenage males - aged 17 and 19 - in connection with the incident.

They were arrested in the Merseyside area for possession with intent to supply. Officers also found around '200 deals' of crack cocaine and heroin, police said. READ NEXT: Tragedy as man's body pulled from sea in Blackpool They recovered 'several hundreds of pounds' in cash.

Police shared pictures of the suspected drugs and cash on the GMP Wigan Facebook page today. They wrote: "If there is one thing that boils our blood it is attempting to deal drugs in front of a local Primary School.
