A nurse has apologised for sending 'appalling' texts to colleagues saying she 'sedated one patient to within an inch of her life'.
Catherine Hudson denies drugging patients 'for her own amusement' at Blackpool Victoria Hospital and told a jury she showed “nothing but care and devotion” to stroke unit patients and their families.
The 54-year-old is alleged to have drugged patients for an “easy life” during work shifts. Mum-of-three Hudson also targeted a number of her alleged victims if she disliked them or their relatives, according to prosecutors.
Preston Crown Court heard WhatsApp messages between Hudson and colleagues revealed a “culture of abuse” on the unit, reports LancsLive.
