A country pub just half an hour out of the city is once again in the running to be voted one of the best in the whole of the UK.
The Church Inn at Mobberley in Cheshire was voted as the top pub in the land in the National Pub and Bar Awards in both 2016 and 2019.
And this year, it’s again among the best pubs in the North West in the 2022 regional finals. It’s joined by darts-based night out Flight Club in the city centre, The Black Bull in Sedbergh, Cumbria, Bowland Beer Hall in Clitheroe and the Roxy Ball Room in Liverpool.
The 18th century Church Inn, which is Grade II listed, was saved from dereliction in 2012, restored and then re-opened in 2013, and has since been named in both the Michelin Guide and the Good Beer Guide.
