Idina Menzel Supports Her 'Wicked' Understudies Eden Espinosa & Shoshana Bean at Tony Awards 2024

Idina Menzel is at the 2024 Tony Awards and her two understudies from her run in Wicked, Eden Espinosa and Shoshana Bean, are both there as nominees. Eden was the original Elphaba standby in Wicked and she was replaced by Shoshana for the second half of Idina‘s run in the Broadway production.
Both of them went on to play the role full time in the musical! The three stars all walked the red carpet on Sunday (June 16) at the David H.
Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. Idina is at the show as a presenter and to promote her upcoming Broadway musical Redwood. Eden is nominated for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical for her work in Lempicka while Shoshana was up for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical for her work in Hell’s Kitchen.
