The planned £250 million new water park and tropical spa complex near the Trafford Centre has been welcomed by renowned Manchester heritage attraction Victoria Baths.
And the historic bathhouse has unveiled its own, fresh proposals to restore its Turkish Baths to their former glory. Bosses are preparing to submit a bid for £4.5m of funding, the M.E.N.
can reveal. Plans to build the huge indoor water park in Trafford Park, which will include waterslides, a wave pool, indoor and outdoor pools, steam rooms and exotic palm tree relaxation areas, were approved by council bosses last week.
The aim is to bring together 'the tradition of the ancient Roman spa with an indoor tropical paradise' in one of the first centres of its kind in the UK.
