Legendary Glasgow venue The Arches is set to open as a nightclub for the first time in almost 10 years. New World is a new series of club nights created as part of a collaboration between events company Watchtower and Platform.

The former has more than 10 years of experience hosting large-scale events in Scotland such as FLY Open Air festival. Platform at the Arches, situated beneath Glasgow's Central Station, was a popular club venue in the city for many years.

However, it lost its late licence in 2015. New World will see DJs return to The Arches for regular events for the first time in eight years.

Watchtower founder Tom Ketley commented: "This project is of huge cultural significance for music in Glasgow, Scotland and beyond.
