Philippa Forrester, known for her time on Children's BBC's Broom Cupboard during the 90s, opened up about the heartbreak she experienced after her marriage ended. The former CBBC presenter and Robot Wars star, now 55, was married to wildlife cameraman Charlie Hamilton James, but their relationship came to an end in 2020.This led to Philippa moving back to Bristol from America with her three children.
While living in Yellowstone Park in Wyoming, Philippa would often come across "grizzlies in the garden". She revealed back in April: "My return to the UK, between lockdowns, from the wilds of Wyoming was utterly dismal.
I would have very much appreciated a grizzly bear incident to finish me off, but no such luck in the wilds of south Gloucestershire." Philippa made her mark as the first long-term female presenter in Children's BBC's Broom Cupboard, sharing duties with Toby Anstis for four years.
She is also recognised for her work on Tomorrow's World and Crufts. The TV star served as a pit reporter on Robot Wars for several years, appearing on series one to three and five to six, before being replaced by Jayne Middlemiss in series seven.
