Ian Evatt does not expect it to be too long before Eoin Toal will be in action for Bolton Wanderers but vowed the defender will not be thrown straight into the club's first team.
The 23-year-old defender became Bolton's fourth signing of the summer last month when he joined from Derry City on a three-year-deal.
He is yet to make his Wanderers debut. The former Northern Ireland under-21 international has been busy at the club's Lostock training base getting up to speed at his new club, as well as recovering from a slight injury.
