The Trotters have kept three clean sheets in their last five games as part of an unbeaten run which has involved four wins and a draw.
The run of form has taken Wanderers to 10th in the table and they are now just three points from the League Two play-offs. A common denominator in this run of five games has been the central defensive partnership of Alex Baptiste and Ricardo Almeida Santos who have played all of them.
Evatt insists the Trotters will not rest on their laurels regarding their recent improvement at the back. But he believes having control in games is having a positive impact, as is tightening up on defending set pieces which has been a thorn in the side of Wanderers for much of this campaign.
